Fertilizer:

Minimal needs, apply a balanced (10-10-10) or low nitrogen liquid fertilizer diluted 1/3 strength once to twice during early spring and summer growing seasons

Mulch:

Gravel, stone chips, crushed granite

Only water when soil is dry, give excellent drainage, sun, deadhead, in winter protect from rain, lightly fertilize in spring, if in a pot, repot every 2-3 years
