Probably not necessary, but a balanced, slow-release (16-16-16) can be applied in spring, if needed

Mulch:

Apply a 3-4" layer of organic mulch in a donut shape around base

Always provide water during dry periods, perform pruning when tree is dormant, monitor for pests and diseases and treat as necessary, remove suckers

Long Term:

Winter:

Mulch if not done in fall, if pests found, use dormant oil spray in late winter

Spring:

Keep soil consistently moist, apply mulch, prune dead, damaged, or diseased branches after flowering, watch for suckers

Summer:

Provide supplemental watering during extreme summer heat, remove suckers, prune if needed, full sun

Fall:

Ensure tree gets adequate moisture, clean area of leaves and fruit, add mulch, remove any remaining suckers

General Care Comments:
